Privacy Policy

When you create a Cubby provider account, we collect your name, email address, and password. To verify your daycare license, we also collect your business name, license state, license number, and the phone number listed on your license. If you request a verification code, we store a one-way hash of the code along with its expiry time — never the code itself in readable form.

We use your information to operate your account, manually review your license application, and send you transactional verification codes by SMS. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing.

By providing a phone number and requesting a verification code, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Cubby at that number. Messages are limited to verification codes related to your license application. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS may prevent you from completing license verification.

We share phone numbers and message content with Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, for the sole purpose of sending verification texts. Application data is stored with Supabase, our database and hosting provider. We do not share your information with any other third party, except as required by law.

Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and are stored only as one-way hashes. Access to provider data is restricted, and license approval is performed manually by our team. We retain account and license records while your account is active and delete verification records once they expire or are used. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Cubby accounts are for licensed childcare providers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
